Used to be a small district with shops selling
used clothes and second-hand books. It grew into one of the
largest commercial districts in Osaka, packed with electrical
equipment discount stores, within just few decades. People
laden with shopping bags occupy the street on weekends and
holidays. |

Opened in October, 2003 at the former site of
Osaka Baseball Park. A multiple shopping complex of 1 story
underground and 8 stories above ground. Some shops and restaurants
made their debut in Kansai area. Outdoor event space is a
round theater. Also equipped with roof top garden, Parks Garden.
It is an oasis in the city where people can enjoy trees and
flowers while taking a walk and can rest on the benches. Memorial
plates are buried at the spot on the 2F, where home plate
and pitching plate were located. More shops targeting adult
men and women will open as second stage in the spring of 2007.
Cinema complex and specialty stores will open as well. |

Shopping Street and Unagidanisuji. A 9-story building. Interior
goods at “Francfranc design for life”, living
goods, health items, stationery items and interior goods are
all sold at “Shinsaibashi Loft”. “Ishibashi
Gakki”, a music store is on the 7th floor. Popular live
house, “Club Quatro” opened in 1991 is on the
8th floor. Golf school on the 9th floor. At the neighboring
DUE of America Mura shops sell second hand clothes and furniture,
used records and CDs, artists’ goods and character goods. |
